Short version: TAGSCO does not sell your data. We collect only what we need to run the service, and your payment is handled entirely by Zazzle — we never see your card details.

1. Who We Are

Tags Co. ("TAGSCO", "we", "our", or "us") is a custom vanity license plate and merchandise service operated by Spacedust, based in Albuquerque, New Mexico. Our website is tagsco.com.

2. Information We Collect

We collect information in two ways:

Information you provide directly:

Plate design data: The state you choose and the vanity text you enter in our plate designer. This is sent to Zazzle to pre-populate your product.
Newsletter email: If you sign up for our email list, we store your email address to send you deals and product updates. You can unsubscribe at any time.
Bulk order inquiries: Your name, email, company, and inquiry details when you submit a bulk order form.
Contact messages: Email address and message content if you contact us directly.

Information collected automatically:

Analytics: We use Google Analytics 4 to understand how visitors use our site — pages viewed, time on site, general location (city/region, not address), device type. IP addresses are anonymized.
Server logs: Standard web server logs including IP address, browser type, pages visited, and timestamps. Logs are retained for 30 days.
Cookies: Google Analytics sets cookies to distinguish unique visitors. We do not set advertising or tracking cookies ourselves.

3. How We Use Your Information

To provide the plate design service (state + tag text passed to Zazzle)
To send newsletter emails you've opted into
To respond to bulk order inquiries and contact messages
To analyze site usage and improve the user experience
To maintain server security and diagnose technical issues

We do not use your information for advertising profiling, sell it to third parties, or share it with anyone except the processors listed below.

4. Payment & Order Processing

TAGSCO does not process payments. When you click "Order This," you are redirected to Zazzle.com to complete your purchase. Zazzle handles all payment processing, fulfillment, and shipping. Your payment details are entered directly on Zazzle's platform — TAGSCO never sees or stores your credit card number or billing information.

5. Third-Party Services

We use the following third-party services that may process some of your information:

Google Analytics 4 — website analytics (analytics.google.com)
Zazzle — order fulfillment and payment processing (zazzle.com)
Google Fonts — typography served from fonts.googleapis.com
Hostinger — web hosting (your IP address passes through their servers)

6. Cookies

We use cookies for two purposes: Google Analytics (to count unique visitors) and session management if you use our admin panel. We do not serve advertising cookies or use any ad networks.

You can disable cookies in your browser settings. Disabling cookies will not prevent you from using the plate designer, though it will affect analytics tracking.

7. Data Retention

Newsletter emails: Retained until you unsubscribe.
Bulk inquiry forms: Retained for 2 years, then purged.
Order log data (state, tag text, product category — no PII): Retained indefinitely for analytics.
Server logs: 30-day rolling retention.
Temporary plate images: Auto-deleted within 48 hours of creation.

8. Your Rights

Depending on your location, you may have certain rights regarding your personal data:

Access: Request a copy of the personal data we hold about you.
Correction: Ask us to correct inaccurate information.
Deletion: Ask us to delete your data (e.g., remove you from the newsletter list).
Opt-out: Unsubscribe from our newsletter at any time via the link in any email.

9. Children's Privacy

TAGSCO is not directed at children under 13. We do not knowingly collect personal information from anyone under 13 years of age. If you believe a child has provided us with personal information, please contact us and we will delete it promptly.

10. Security

We use HTTPS on all pages, keep our software up to date, and store sensitive files outside the web root. However, no method of transmission or storage is 100% secure. We encourage you to use a strong, unique password for any online service and to contact us immediately if you believe your information may have been compromised.

11. Changes to This Policy

We may update this Privacy Policy from time to time. When we do, we'll update the "Last updated" date at the top of this page. For significant changes, we'll note it on our website. Continued use of the service after changes are posted constitutes acceptance of the updated policy.
